We can never predict the future and yet in the world of fashion and beauty we can always tell the trends that will arrive soon and prepare ourselves for them.

"Makeup is closely related with fashion," said celebrity make-up artist Lizzie Parra. "To forecast the upcoming makeup trends, just watch the fashion weeks around the world. Today's models use very minimal makeup, which highlights their facial skin and the dresses that they're wearing."

Lizzie Parra is a popular makeup artist in the capital. Her clients include Indonesia's top celebrities and socialites. In her spare time, the alumnus of Prasetiya Mulya Business School also blogs and shares her own makeup tutorials via YouTube, where she currently has over 15,000 followers.

According to Lizzie, in the upcoming "minimalist" makeup style, healthy and glowing skin is of the of utmost importance.

"Today's trend is to have flawless skin, which is easy," she said. "Just dab foundation on your face, apply some powder, then use some blush or shimmer on your cheekbones or jaws."

"And then, don't forget to brush it off lightly to blend everything and make it look natural."

The blush and shimmer are intended to contour your face, conceal some imperfections and highlight your strong points.

The coming trend is to apply subtle colors, such as pink and peach, on your cheekbones and/or jawlines.

"Peach will make you look fresh, while pink will make you appear more sexy and glam," Lizzie said.

And if you live in Indonesia, you may forget the tough, chiseled look of the Kardashians.

"In Indonesia, women don't [normally] use heavy contouring like [they do] in the US," she said. "We keep our makeup light."

For special occasions, she suggests the "smokey eyes" effect.

"Smokey eyes will be the all-time favorite," she said. "It will always be trendy."

However, she added, you should always choose between strong eyes or strong lips in your makeup.

"To have both can be too overpowering."

For lips, the upcoming trend in 2016 is going to be the "Korean Ombre Lip," in which we can blend two different colors together to create softer, more natural hues and make our lips appear to be fuller.Read more at:http://www.marieprom.co.uk/blue-prom-dresses
